Woodfield Mall Santa Hours; Christmas and Holiday Celebration 2014

Santa's Visiting Hours at Woodfield Mall
You can still visit The Ice Palace at Woodfield Mall to get your picture taken with Santa during select hours Tuesday, November 25th through Wednesday, December 24th. You can also save time and avoid the line by reserving your appointment at simon.noerrsanta.com. Santa arrived at Woodfield escorted by a parade of drummers from Conant High School on Thursday November 6, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.

Santa Arrives at Woodfield Mall for Start of Holiday Season Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 6:00 PM

Santa's grand arrival at Woodfield Mall Thursday will mark the start of the holiday season. Santa will be escorted by a parade of drummers from Conant High School, at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014.

Families are invited to join in the magnificently decorated Woodfield Mall celebration as Santa takes center stage at his "Ice Palace" in the center grand court. Santa will be joined by festive elves who will be offering kids an assortment of candy and sleigh-bell necklaces.

Kids also can enjoy creating holiday-inspired crafts while munching on treats as they wait to meet Santa in the mall's grand court.

Santa is available for photos at Woodfield Mall during select hours through Wednesday, December 24, 2014, excluding Thanksgiving Day.

Marzec's Specs, located in Sears Optical, is Celebrating a 1 Year Anniversary complete with new low exam prices:

$50.00 glasses exams and $90 contact lens exams.

Construction: New I-90 Interchanges, Hotels and Granite City Food and Brewery Set for Construction Near Woodfield Mall

An extended-stay TownePlace Suites and a short-stay Fairfield Inn & Suites to are expected to be built next door side to each other along National Parkway near the Tilted Kilt restaurant. on Higgins Road, just southwest of Woodfield Mall. The TownePlace Suites would have 82 rooms and the Fairfield Inn & Suites would have 107 rooms -- both with addresses on National Parkway with Fairfield Inn & Suites closer to Higgins Road. Construction is hoped to start late summer.

Just west of Woodfield Mall, construction is expected to start this toward the 2015 opening of a Hampton Inn & Suites and Granite City Food and Brewery restaurant next door at 801 Plaza Drive. The Hampton Inn & Suites, with 101 rooms, will be a four-story, 64,294-square-foot building, including an indoor pool and meeting space.

A Radisson hotel is expected to break ground July 2014, replacing the earlier-approved Cambria Suites, at the southwest corner of Interstate 90 and Roselle Road. Radisson principals want to get the hotel operating before interchange upgrades along I-90 at Roselle Road and at Meacham Road.

Meacham Road Interchange Project
Two new ramps will be constructed to create access to exit westbound I-90 at Meacham Road and to enter the Interstate 90 Tollway to head westbound from Meacham Road. The project is expected to be completed sometime in 2015-2016.

Roselle Road Interchange Project
The Roselle Road project will build a full-access interchange connecting Roselle Road and the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90). The project is expected to be completed in 2016.

Super Duper Lil Chefs Event at Woodfield Mall Saturday, June 7, 2014

Whip up some fun during the Super Duper Lil Chefs event. This event is a free culinary event that shows kids the fun side of food through hands-on activities. Don't forget to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to a local hunger relief organization. Kidgits Club Members will receive a free Kidgits pizza plate and pizza cutter (while supplies last).

Discovery Outpost, Boys Scouts of America Recruitment Center, Opens at Woodfield Mall

The Boy Scouts celebrated the official opening of Discovery Outpost -- a new recruitment center -- in Woodfield Mall in the lower level near Macy's. During the special ribbon-cutting ceremony at Schaumburg's Woodfield Mall, Mayor Al Larson cut the ribbon with a remote control scissors.

The grand opening also included a quadcopter robotics demonstration and a Pinewood Derby demonstration.

The grand opening of Discovery Outpost precedes the Pinewood Derby in the Grand Court at Woodfield Mall coming this summer. On Sunday June 22, 2014 the Derby will be held at Woodfield Mall in the Grand Court. The Competition Categories are Speed or Design.
