Discovery Outpost, Boys Scouts of America Recruitment Center, Opens at Woodfield Mall
The Boy Scouts celebrated the official opening of Discovery Outpost -- a new recruitment center -- in Woodfield Mall in the lower level near Macy's. During the special ribbon-cutting ceremony at Schaumburg's Woodfield Mall, Mayor Al Larson cut the ribbon with a remote control scissors.
The grand opening also included a quadcopter robotics demonstration and a Pinewood Derby demonstration.
The grand opening of Discovery Outpost precedes the Pinewood Derby in the Grand Court at Woodfield Mall coming this summer. On Sunday June 22, 2014 the Derby will be held at Woodfield Mall in the Grand Court. The Competition Categories are Speed or Design.
