McDonald's Replacing Former Champp's Location Next to Chick-fil-A on Golf Rd, Schaumburg

The Woodfield Mall area in Schaumburg will soon have three McDonald's restaurants within a 1 square-mile area -- one McDonald's inside the mall, one at Higgins Road and Plum Grove Road, and one at the former Champp's Restaurant site. McDonald's corporation bought the site just east of Chick-fil-A in June 2015.

The news comes within a month of Chick-Fil-A being ranked number one in customer satisfaction in the American customer satisfaction index with a score of 86 out of 100.

Chipotle ranked second with 83 and McDonald's ranked last with a 67 out of 100.

It is not surprising that McDonald's would want to place a new restaurant right next to the first Chick-fil-A in Schaumburg. In fact, at the company-wide scale, McDonald's is working on preparing an improved chicken sandwich in an attempt to be competitive with Chick-fil-A's chicken sandwich.

Next year, if you're starving and forgetful on a Sunday and travel to Chick-fil-A's Schaumburg location (closed Sundays), you will be able to check out McDonald's improved chicken sandwich right next-door.
