Apple Store: Will New Apple iPhone 6 Smartphone Launch September 9 or Later in October?
New Apple iPhones have been unveiled in September every year since 2011, and Apple has launched a new iPhone every year since former CEO Steve Jobs introduced the smartphone line in 2007.
Apple is expected to introduce two new iPhone 6 models with display sizes of 4.7 and 5.5 inches. The current Apple iPhone 5s has a 4-inch display.
In a commercial for the iPhone 5S hinting the preview of iOS 8, the 1960s exercise song Chicken Fat is used to promote the new HealthKit service.
A media event from Apple is scheduled for September 9, 2014, but some recent reports speculate one Apple iPhone model could be released at a later date. Screen assembly was delayed because Apple tried to have the thinnest display possible with only one backlight layer. The display was too dark, and the design was changed to have two backlight layers.
